Terms of Service

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Agreement

By joining the Catball list, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't sign up — but we'd be sad to see you go.

What Catball Is

Catball sends letters by email: funny little stories about real animal facts, addressed to your child by first name and delivered to your inbox. They're written to be read aloud, laughed at, and read again.

Who Can Sign Up

The list is for adults. By signing up, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and that you are the parent or guardian of the child whose first name you provide. Letters are sent to your email address, never to a child directly.

Your Email

We use your email address for one thing: sending you Catball letters. You can leave the list at any time — every letter tells you how, or you can just email us and we'll take you off right away.

The Stories

Catball's stories are built around real animal facts, simplified and dramatized so kids love them. They're for fun and learning, not scientific reference — if your child writes a school report based entirely on Catball, we salute them, but double-check the details.

Intellectual Property

The letters, stories, and everything Catball are ours. Read them aloud, act them out, yell "WHERE'S THE WOMBAT?" in public — that's what they're for. Just don't republish or sell them.

No Warranties

Catball is provided as-is. We work hard to make every letter great and deliver it on time, but we can't promise the service will always be perfect or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Catball is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the service. It's a newsletter about animals; the stakes are gloriously low.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we'll note it in a letter. Continuing to stay on the list means you accept the updated terms.
